This morning our congregation stood with eyes closed and hearts open, before a word of the sermon was spoken. In that quiet, we were reminded of a deep comfort: prayer is not sustained by our strength, but by God’s help.

Romans 8:26–27 says the Spirit helps us in our weakness, especially when we do not know what to pray as we ought. The Spirit Himself intercedes, and the Father understands perfectly. Even when your words run out, God’s work does not stop.
